On June 8th, 2024, American Council Academia (ACA) hosted an engaging webinar aimed at introducing prospective students to the talented educators who will guide them on their English language learning journey. The event provided an invaluable opportunity for students to meet the educators, learn about their qualifications, teaching styles, and get a glimpse of what to expect from ACA’s educational programs.
The webinar featured a panel of experienced educators, including Ms. Bridgett Vaughn, Mr. Matt Yilmaz, Mr. Matthew Hatch, and Mr. Trystan Miles. Each educator took the time to explain their teaching methodologies, feedback approaches, and how they plan to make online sessions interactive and engaging.
Mr. Matt Yilmaz shared his excitement about teaching Sri Lankan students, recounting his positive experiences from a previous volunteer stint in the country. He emphasized his enthusiasm for helping students hone their English skills. Meanwhile, Mr. Trystan Miles discussed his approach to building student confidence, especially when asking questions, and highlighted the importance of developing a teacher-student relationship based on friendship and trust.
The educators also spoke about their extensive experience teaching students from various countries, underscoring their ability to adapt to different learning styles and cultural backgrounds. They reassured prospective students that ACA’s programs are designed to help them develop a wide range of English skills, from grammar and vocabulary to effective communication and presentation abilities.
